Access

It is recommended to travel by public transport as the mumber of parking spaces is limited. In addition, public transport is included with thanks to the Swiss Runners Ticket !

Public transportation included

The Glacier 3000 Run is a member of the Swiss Runners Ticket. Therefore, all registered runners receive a code to validate on www.sbb.ch/timetable offering 2 free travels on public transport in Switzerland during the week of the race, between Thursday and Sunday.

All participants benefit from free 2nd class public transportation travel from their place of residence to the Col du Pillon and back (via GA area routes via the usual route).

Once you have registered, you will receive two personal promo codes by e-mail. With these promo codes you can print out a free public transport ticket for the outward journey and one for the return journey (valid for 1 day each) in 2nd class on sbb.ch/timetable

The outward journey can take place the week of the race between Thursday and Saturday and the return journey between Saturday and Sunday.

Important: The Swiss Runners Ticket is personal and on the return journey only valid in combination with the race confirmation, please show both on the train without being asked.

Codes can be validated online or at a SBB ticket office. Unfortunately, this is not possible via the SBB mobile app.

Choose the desired route (from your home to Gstaad or to the Col du Pillon for the KM Vertical) at the desired date and time. Choose the Point-to-point ticket rather than the supersaver ticket, and day passes rather than zone cards.

The discount code is validated at the end of the transaction when you choose your payment method.

Complete the purchase process once the coupon code has been inserted. Each coupon is unique and can be used only once.

Traffic regulation

Those arriving by car are requested to follow the traffic regulations of the police and traffic cadets. There are no parking spaces available at the Heiti/Gsteig and vehicles can not be parked on the road or on the sidewalks. The rescue axes must remain free at all times.

Parking

It is possible to park in the Untergstaad parking (directly next to the starting area of the Gstaad ice rink) and on the parking of the school Rütti for a daily fee of CHF 10.00 valid for the entire day of the competition.
